We put forward some of our own thoughts on what we have found to be some of the key reasons behind the popularity of this range of tankless water heaters. If we’ve missed anything out, do let us know!
True Thermostatic Control – no nasty blasts of cold water!
You may not know this, but most electric tankless water heater manufacturers don’t make systems that have these. Consequently they can’t maintain a precise output temperature when the flow rate of the water changes. This mean is that the water temperature will fluctuate. Imagine that you luxuriating in a wonderfully warm shower, then turn the water flow up to get more of it and wham! You are hit with a blast of much colder water. Brrrrr.
It would appear that many manufacturers won’t tell you how their systems work because they don’t want you to know that their systems aren’t thermostatically controlled.
The Stiebel Eltron tankless water heaters all feature true flow and thermostatic control technology. (A convenient digital display shows the temperature setting and it’s easy to adjust it). This constantly monitors the water flow rate and incoming water temperature and adjusts power output so you always get the temperature you want! Ah, that’s better!
Simplicity in Design
The Stiebel Eltron tankless systems are manufactured in Germany in an ISO-9001 certified plant. Despite their engineering sophistication, the design is stunningly simple, built with quality parts and is built to last. The company has been in business for over 85 years and so have a track record to uphold.
Several companies use commercial plastics in the systems casings and even in the heat exchangers, which of course are less expensive than steel. With the Stiebel Eltron tankless water heaters materials used include steel casings and copper for the heating chamber.
All of the Tempra models actually use the same parts and technology, but they vary in the sizes and numbers of heating modules.
Thanks to the efforts of the Stiebel Eltron engineers, the newly designed Stiebel Eltron Tempra series experiences virtually zero efficiency loss. This means the electricity consumed is converted into heat then transferred directly to the water, which is great for your electric bill.
Value for Money
Of course, getting the best value for your money is important too. Not only does the Stiebel Eltron tankless offer the best flow modulation technology and full thermostatic temperature control, superior German engineering / quality, a solid warranty, and expert technical support, it offers its heaters at a very competitive price.
